MITS School of Biotechnology in Bhubaneswar is recognised by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha and also affiliated with Utkal University this institution started offering world class education in the year 2003.

Programmes offered

Undergraduate programmes in B.Sc in Biotechnology and Bachelor of Computer Applications
Post Graduate Programmes in M.Sc in Biotechnology and M.Sc in Applied Microbiology

Infrastructure facilities

MITS School of Biotechnology offers various facilities to its students few among them are state of the art classrooms equipped with Audio-Visual system fitted with LCD Projectors, Ph.D holders as faculty, library cum resource room whereby not less than 50 people can be accommodated comfortably a small sports ground within the college campus.

Admission procedure

Candidates who wish to apply for M.Sc Applied Microbiology wherein the intake capacity is 64 should have done B.Sc. in Biotehnology/ Microbology/ Botany/ Zoology/Chemistry/Physics/any related Subject discipline with not less than 50% in aggregate the same procedure and eligibility applies to admissions for M.Sc in Biotechnology, for B.Sc in Biotechnology the intake capacity is 180 for which candidates who have done +2 Science/12th Pass with min 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for Bachelor of Computer Applications which has 128 seats capacity candidates who have done +2 Science/Arts/commerce (Mathematics/Statistic/Business Mathematics as one of the subject) minimum 50% aggregate can apply and lastly for Bachelor in IT & Management under Bachelor of Computer Applications which has 120 seats as intake capacity for which candidates with +2 Science/Arts/commerce/diploma with minimum 40% aggregate can apply.

Candidates can download the prescribed application form from the college website or else they can visit the college office on any working day to procure the registration form.

The college has successfully given its assistance to more than 100 students to get placement in globally known organisations like Wipro, Infosys and TCS to name a few.
