Introduction
Ghanshyamdas Jalan College of Science, Commerce and Arts in Malad East of Mumbai city was established in the year 2011 by A.B.V.M. Agrawal Jatiya Kosh the college is duly affiliated with University of Mumbai.
The college is divided in to Junior College and Degree college however both the college are working in the same annexe the college is located in the heart of the city hence reaching the college from all parts of Mumbai city is accessible through road.
Courses offered
The Junior College offers several courses as mentioned below:
- Science General with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics, Biology, Environmental Education, Health and Physical Education
- Science IT Specialisation with English, I.T., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Education, Health and Physical Education
- Commerce General with English, Hindi/Marathi, Economics, Organisation of Commerce and Management, Book Keeping and Accountancy, Mathematics & Statistics or Secretarial Practice, Environmental Education, Health and Physical Education
- Commerce In I.T. Specialisation with English, Information Technology, Economics, Organisation of Commerce and Management, Book Keeping and Accountancy, Mathematics & Statistics or Secretarial Practice, Environmental Education, Health and Physical Education
The Degree College offers several courses as mentioned below:
- Bachelor of Science with 6 Semesters of 3 years duration
- Bachelor of Commerce with 6 Semesters of 3 years duration
Infrastructure facilities
The institution being constructed on a huge plot able to provide ample space for classrooms which are very spacious and airy, laboratories for all the disciplines including Computers, Languages, library making use of the latest technology at its best in maintaining the books of various interests along with national and international journals, periodicals, newsletters etc., the college also conducts various cultural activities in its big auditorium which has the capacity of not less than 100 people at a time, cafeteria able to supply delicious and nutritious foods throughout the day in the college timings, various sports activities are being conducted in the sports complex which is in the college annexe.
Admission process
Candidates who wish to apply for Junior College courses should have completed S.S.C or its equivalent examination from any state board schools or from CBSE or ICSE Schools.
The admissions for Degree College Courses is subject to the completion of P.U Course from any college affiliated to the respective University.
Admissions for all the courses mentioned above are subject the merit of the candidates which will be tested through the personal interaction.
