About Government Polytechnic
Introduction
Government Polytechnics known to have good teaching faculty across India one such Polytechnic is at Angul district in Odisha the college is under the aegis of Director of Technical Education and Training, Odisha under the Industries Department, Government of Odisha.
This Government Polytechnic was established in the year 1971 till date thousands of students have been benefited by getting excellent professional training at this college apart from getting placement in good organisations.
Infrastructure facilities
Being built on a huge plot this polytechnic providing good space for its 60 classrooms spread over 3 floors apart from that the college has employed highly qualified, experienced and trained support staff for laboratories which are available separately for all the disciplines, the college has a high-speed internet facility in all the laboratories, a well-equipped sports ground is available within the college campus, canteen facility with delicious foods supplied throughout the college timings to the students and also to the staff.
The college has Anti Ragging Cell, Grievance Redressal Cell, medical room, highly stocked library separate rooms for co-curricular activities, restroom are some of the additional facilities provided by this college.
Courses offered and eligibility
This college offers full time 3 years Diploma courses in:
1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Civil Engineering
3. Electrical Engineering
Eligibility:
Candidates who wish to apply for the above courses should have secured not less than 35% of marks in Mathematics and Science in their Higher Secondary however the percentage varies according to the Government guidelines, candidates who have passed their 10+2 are also eligible for this 3-year full-time Diploma courses.

The college has so for has assisted its students in getting placement in various known organisations like L&T, Centum Electronics, TATA Group, Bharat Forge etc.
The college conducts periodical workshops by inviting dignitaries from various fields to help its students with their tips apart from this the college conducts frequent industrial visits to get the knowledge practically.
Admission Process
Candidates who have secured not less than 35% of marks in their HSC are eligible to apply for admissions wheres for lateral entry those who have passed their 10+2 with not less than 35% of marks are eligible for 3rd Semester directly.
