About Oriental College, Imphal
The Oriental College, Imphal was established in 1963 as a private college. Initially it was affiliated with Guwahati university but from 1980, it is permanently affiliated with Manipur University. In 2011, the college was accredited by NAAC with "B" grade.
The college is located 2.5 km away from Imphal Bazaar towards west and 3km from the Kangla Fort. The college is situated on 7.5 acres of land. The campus has got a green surrounding thus most favourable for a good study atmosphere.
The Oriental College, Imphal offers courses from arts and science streams. The management is aiming for an autonomous status in the near future. Along with academic courses, the college also offers courses that are career-oriented. These include Mushroom Cultivation, Bioinformatics in Biodiversity and Food Processing & Quality Control.
