About Bharti Vidyapeeth College Of Engineering
Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Belapur, Navi Mumbai was established in 1990 and is affiliated with Mumbai University. The college is approved by AICTE. It offers UG/PG engineering courses in various streams and at present, about 2000 students are getting engineering education here.
FacilitiesThere is a central library which is equipped with all the modern facilities for accessing technical information and at present about 41000 volumes of the resources are available for the reference of the students. Old question paper banks are easily accessible along with other resources. A reading room facility is available.
One hostel for boys and one for girls is available and these are having all the facilities like Mess, TV, Newspaper, Playground, Gym, etc.
For practical ‘ hands-on training,' there is a big technical workshop in the college where the students can work on the various machines to learn the intricacies of manufacturing, designing, fitting, and repairing aspects. The workshop is used by the UG/PG students in connection with their practical projects. There are different machines installed in the workshop for carpeting, welding, fitting activities, etc.
College is having all the indoor and outdoor games and sports facilities and there is one gymkhana for the students for undergoing exercises and physical fitness. Students are encouraged to use these facilities and participate at the university, state, and national levels as per their competence.
AdmissionsThe admissions to the various engineering streams in this college are done through the Common Engineering Entrance test of Maharashtra state. Based on the choice of the student the score obtained in this entrance exam the admissions are finalized. The students who have passed their HSC exam with compulsory subjects Mathematics and Physics and have obtained at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category candidates) are eligible to apply to the Maharashtra CET entrance exam. They have to online register on the site www.mahacet.org for this purpose. Based on their score and choice of the institution they will be required to deposit the fees if their admission is confirmed as per their merit. The students who have already done their UG engineering degree can also apply for the PG courses through the Maharashtra CET entrance test. The diploma holders can also apply for engineering courses through lateral admissions in second-year engineering if they have a non-zero MH-CET score.
At the time of finalization of admission in the college, the following original certificates will be required to be produced by the candidates - 1. Scorecard of MHT-CET & JEE Main. 2. Allotment letter. 3. Mark sheet of SSC and HSC. 4. TC and character certificate from the earlier institute. 5. Birth certificate / DOB certificate. 6. Caste certificate if applicable. 7. Migration certificate.
The admission and first-year fee in engineering are Rs. 107596 for general candidates, Rs. 61901 for EBC/SEBC /EWS/OBC candidates, Rs. 16205 for SC/SBC/VJ NT/ST/TFWS candidates, and Rs. 2656 for J.K. candidates. - Umesh
