About All India Institute of Ayurveda
Ayurveda is the traditional system of healing which originated in the Indian sub-continent along with other medicinal practices like Siddha in the south and Sowa Rigpa in northen India.
Decades, in fact centuries of research and development in Ayurveda has led to an increase in the global demand for lifestyle suggestions, consultations and medicines through Ayurveda.
Establishment of the AIIA The AIIA serves as a central government establishment and as an apex institute for Ayurveda. It serves as a state of the art facility for Ayurveda treatment. Diplomats, delegates, foreign visitors as well as common public can avail of opportunities for education, research and treatment. The institute is thus aiding medical tourism as well as research and development in the field of Ayurveda.
What AIIA does Focusing on education and research in Ayurveda, the institute does the following:Fundamental research in AyurvedaDrug developmentStandardisationQuality controlSafety EvaluationScientific validation of Ayurvedic Medicine The institute has 25 departments related to each specialty, 12 clinics and 8 inter-disciplinary research laboratories. Through such facilities, the institute provides courses at under-graduate, post-graduate and PhD levels.
Infrastructure of AIIA The AIIA campus has 2 blocks. There is a hospital block and an academic cum research block. The hospital block has a 200 bed referral hospital with facilities for clinical research. The hospital also has facilities required for Panchakarma.
The daily capacity for OPD patients is approx. 1500.
The academic cum research block is on the 7th floor of the institute. It has modern laboratories and departments. AIIA also has an Ayurveda museum in the academic cum research block.

How to reach AIIA Located in Delhi, the institute can be reached very easily, as it is well connected with all means of transport. The nearest bus stop for AIIA is Aali Gaon and NTPC. While the Metro train network provides a station by the name of Mohan Estate. This is on the Violet Line of DMRC.
If you are coming to AIIA from outside of Delhi and by mail or express trains, then the nearest railway stations are Hazrat Nizamuddin and Faridabad.
