About Cindrebay School of Design, Nagpur
Cindrebay School of Design is a pioneering design school for fashion and interior designing at Nagpur in the state of Maharashtra. It also offers courses on animation and multimedia. Established as recently as 2017 and the first Cindrebay campus outside of South India, it is part of the Cindrebay group that has campuses in different cities in the country. Headquartered in Calicut, Kerala, the rest of the campuses are located at Kochi, Kannur, Kozhikode, Bangalore, Thodapuzha and Trivandrum. Cindrebay Nagpur is affiliated with Bharatiar University. Some of the courses are, however, affiliated to Bangalore University.
Academics at Cindrebay Nagpur The design school offers diploma and degree courses in aspects such as interior designing, space management, fashion designing, apparel merchandising, costume designing, animation, VFX and multimedia. It has three different sections –Interior Design, Fashion Design and Film & Animation. The diploma courses are of one-year duration, whereas it is three years for the degree courses. The courses offered by Cindrebay are unique in the sense that it combines multifaceted learning techniques with practical project-oriented training. The curriculum focuses on developing the creative potential of the students and encourages them to be more inventive with their imaginations.
An advocate of digital designing, Cindrebay trains the students on design software like AutoCAD, 3DS Max, Revit Architecture, SketchUp, V-Ray, Rhino, Photoshop, Grasshopper and Lumion. The students are made aware of the latest developments in the field of 3D printing. As part of their all-round development as design professionals, the students get to attend seminars, design workshops and interact with experts in the field of design. Concepts such as experiential learning help the students to pick up the skills in their respective domain very fast. This, in fact, helps the students during the placements, as they are placed very easily. As like every other Cindrebay, the Nagpur campus has a placement cell.
Cindrebay Nagpur has experienced faculty from diverse backgrounds. Many are from prestigious design schools with experience in the design industry. There are many visiting and guest faculties from India and beyond. The importance that Cindrebay places on its faculty can be judged from the fact that subjects like those that of visual arts are taught by artists, 3D modelling by 3D visualizers and the practical details of commercial skills by real entrepreneurs and business experts.
Admissions The admission procedure and the scholarships available at every Cindrebay school is similar. You need to first fill an online enquiry form. The college contacts you and asked to sit for the Cindrebay Design Aptitude Test, where your skills in drawing, sense of proportion, balance, etc. are tested along with proficiency in the English language.
