About D Banumaiah’s Polytechnic
D Banumaiah's Polytechnic located in Mysore is one of the oldest technical institutions in the city of Mysore. The polytechnic is offering vocational courses since the year 1983. The polytechnic is duly approved and recognised by the AICTE and affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education under Government of Karnataka.
D Banumaiah's Polytechnic offers diploma engineering courses in almost all disciplines. The polytechnic has several cells like anti-ragging cell, women redressal cell, grievance cell, internal complaint committee for sexual harassment of women employees and girl students, SC/ST Cell, innovation cell, internal quality assurance cell, etc.
The college has a library with huge collection of books apart from comfortable seating arrangements. There are laboratory facilities for all the engineering disciplines apart from a language lab. Various sports activities are conducted at its play ground.
The polytechnic has an auditorium wherein cultural activities are arranged along with various inter-college competitions. The students can join NSS and NCC. Cafeteria service also provided within the premises.
The college offers 3 types of admissions:
1. Diploma for Aided Courses
2. Diploma for Un-aided Courses
3. Lateral Entry to 3rd Semester
