Shanmugha Polytechnic College is located in the rural areas of Tirumalaisamudram in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. The polytechnic is a product of VEE SEE BEE Trust, a reputed philanthropic educational trust in the district. The polytechnic is approved by the AICTE and affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu.
The polytechnic offers courses in almost all the engineering streams including computer science. The teaching medium is English and the college is co-ed.
