About Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic College
Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic College, located in Mysore and incepted in 2005 by Vidyavardhaka Sangha, is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and duly affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka.
The polytechnic offers education in all engineering disciplines. The college campus is built on a vast plot of land. It has furnished classrooms, laboratories and workshops. There is a library, a playground and separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel mess provides hygienic vegetarian food.
Other facilities include a college canteen, bank extension counter with round the clock ATM facility, transport facility, power backup and basic medical facilities in case of emergencies. Students from this college have secured distinction in various common entrance tests required for higher studies.
The college has a full-fledged placement cell. Regular workshops are organized to enhance the employment opportunities.
Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic College offers admissions as per the guidelines of AICTE and Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka. A pass in SSLC or its equivalent is essential for direct admissions and for lateral entry, candidates are required to have passed at least Pre-University or its equivalent.
Candidates who wish to apply for admissions may visit the college on any working day to procure the prescribed admission form. They need to appear and qualify in the admission test.
