About Prerna Junior College
Prerna Junior College, Nagpur is the higher secondary section (Class XI and Class XII) that is attached to Prerna Convent, which is located on the same campus and is under the management of Prerna Sewa Mandal. However, it has its own independent academic classrooms, science and computer lab facilities, and a separate portal. It is not clear, though, whether the junior college section is a UGC-recognized one and whether the courses are recognized ones for higher studies elsewhere on completing Class 12 here.
Academics Students of Prerna Junior College, Nagpur can select the Commerce or Science Stream and in both, English and two other subjects are mandatory, while regional languages are offered as optional subjects. Note that a student is not permitted to change the course or a subject once admission is obtained. The college has strict rules and disciplinary action are taken if any student does not adhere to them. Students are required to wear the assigned uniform and a minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory for lectures as well as practicals.
Admission procedure Students seeking admission to Prerna Junior College, Nagpur have to appear for personal interview on fulfilling the eligibility requirements, namely-
- Passed the Class 10 exam of the Maharashtra State Board or any other recognised board for admission to Class XI.
- Passed the Class XI exam for admission to Class XII.
