About Moirang College, Manipur
Established in 1963, on the bank of Loktak Lake, the biggest freshwater lake in the North-East Indian region, Moirang College is one of the best Arts & Science colleges in Manipur. Located in Moirang in the district of Bishnupur, this college was founded to provide higher education to economically and socially backward people. The college is affiliated with Manipur University, Imphal. This is a recognized institution by University Grants Commission (UGC).
Moirang College offers undergraduate degree courses in different specializations. B.A. (General), B.Sc. (General), B.A (Hons), and B.Sc (Hons) are the degree courses provided by the college. The duration of each of these undergraduate courses is three years. The minimum educational qualification for admission to these courses is 10+2.
The college campus is set on 36 acres of beautiful land. The built-up area of this institution is 4231.5 square meters. Moirang College provides good infrastructure facilities to students and teachers. The college has a well-equipped library with 9838 books. The college has two hostels that can accommodate up to 40 students. All other facilities like labs, cafeteria, auditorium, sports complex, gym are there in this college.
