About Vidarbha Institute of Pharmacy
Established in 2011, the Vidarbha Institute of Pharmacy is a private college managed by Dr. S.K. Toshniwal Educational & Research Trust under the leadership of Dr. Sanjay S.Toshniwal, Director of the college. The college offers pharmacy education through a well-designed curriculum imparted by competent faculty. The management has set up anti-ragging, gender-sensitization, anti-discrimination, and placement and career guidance cells. Academic lessons are accompanied by Guest Lectures, industrial visits, and personality development workshops. Currently, the college is offering a D.Pharm. course, and is awaiting the DTE's NOC for the B.Pharm course.
College campus Vidarbha Institute of Pharmacy is located on approx. 2 acres of land. The academic block has four classrooms, three labs for Pharmaceutics, four labs for Pharmaceutical Chemistry, three labs for Pharmacology, and one lab each for Pharmacognosy and Pharmacy practice. There is also a Machine room and a Central Instrumentation room. Other infrastructure includes a computer lab with Internet connectivity, library with a reading area, air-conditioned multi-purpose seminar hall with a multi-media projector that seats about 100 people, auditorium for 250-300 people, museum, canteen, first-aid room, and separate common rooms for boys and girls. Outdoors, there is a herbal garden with medicinal plants. Currently, there is no hostel accommodation on campus.
Application procedure Students who wish to get admission to the D.Pharm course can fill in the application form that is available at the college website and submit it as per the admission notification schedule that is displayed therein.
