About Reena Mehta College of Arts, Commerce, Science And Management Studies
Established in 2003 by the Jeevan Jyot Educational Charitable Trust, the Reena Mehta College, Bhayander is a UGC-recognized college with NAAC accreditation of 'B' Grade, and all courses are affiliated with the University of Mumbai. It offers undergraduate programs in the streams of Arts, Commerce, Science, and Management Studies, as well as postgraduate courses in commerce, accountancy, and business management. A few interesting add-on courses are also offered, such as on retail management, child care & development, etc.
Academics and Activities As part of the learning experience, classroom debates and guest lectures are organized. Slow learners can avail themselves of extra coaching classes. Extracurricular activities at Reena Mehta College, Bhayander include Yoga, dance, music, and participating in social service activities. The annual inter-college fest showcases the talent of the students of the college as well as those of other colleges, with certificates issued to all participants.
Campus infrastructure The Reena Mehta College, Bhayander has a spacious campus for academic and co-curricular activities. The library committee ensures that the stock of books is updated in consultation with the Heads of the various Departments and approved by the college Principal. Suggestions from students are also welcome. Sports facilities include a gym, table tennis area and equipment, and courts and equipment for badminton and volleyball. A spacious playground outdoors is dedicated to cricket, football, basketball, Kho-Kho, and Kabaddi while indoors, students can enjoy a game of chess or carrom. There is a very efficient maintenance staff for all areas of the campus, including classrooms, labs, common rooms, etc. CCTV cameras ensure safety and security. Other infrastructure includes computer labs, a seminar hall, an auditorium, a health center with basic medical aid facilities, and a stationery shop with photocopying facilities. The campus cafeteria serves hot beverages, soft drinks, snacks, and meals at reasonable rates. Ramps and washrooms for differently-abled people are also available.
Admission procedure Students seeking admission to Reena Mehta College, Bhayander are required to register and apply online through the college website. The application fee for admission and the course fees have to be paid online as well.
For admission to the first year of junior college, students have to submit the mark sheet of the Class 10 exam, the school leaving certificate, address proof, Aadhar Card, passport size photos, the online allotment letter, etc. Refer to the college website to know the full list of required documents, and of which originals and of which photocopies are required.
Provisional admission will be provided to students awaiting results, and these students must submit the required documents (mark sheets/certificates) as per the due date, otherwise, their admission will be cancelled.
