About Navkis College of Engineering
Navkis College of Engineering located in Hassan district is one of the educational institutions established by Yagachi Education and Research Trust. Established in the year 2020, the college is under the management of the globally known educational organisation M.S. Ramaiah Group of Educational institutions. The college is duly approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, and also recognised by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka and is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The college offers a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various engineering disciplines.
The college has a separate cultural committee to oversee the student's extracurricular activities. The college organizes various national and international events like International Yoga Day, Redcross Day, etc.
Navkis College of Engineering offers state-of-the-art facilities with a world-class education through a highly skilled and qualified teaching fraternity that is ably supported by qualified support staff. The college has a huge library as a resource centre which is able to provide E-Journals, E-Books Consortium, Cambridge Dictionary and Networked Digital Library.
The college offers hostel facilities separately for boys and girls with double sharing and four sharing accommodation. There is a common dining hall, a TV hall, and the hostel provides the students a friendly menu. The safety and security of the students at the hostel are given utmost importance with round-the-clock manual security, with the installation of CCTVs at all prime places. The day-to-day activities at the hostel are managed by efficient wardens.
The college sports facilities are unique with a separate Physical Education Director's position. The sports facilities for all major outdoor sports disciplines include a swimming pool. The gym facility is also provided.
The college has a hygienic food court that is able to cater to delicious and nutritious dishes even in late hours to help the students who stay on the college campus for study purposes. Healthy snacks, beverages, and other nutritious dishes are provided at affordable costs. The college also has an infirmary equipped with all basic medical facilities with the round-the-clock nursing facility, with doctors on-call service available.
The admission process at Navkis College of Engineering, Hassan is as per the norms of the AICTE, New Delhi, and Government of Karnataka. The admissions are through Common Entrance Test, COMED-K, and the admissions are also given on the basis of management quota. Admissions are open to students from foreign countries as well.
