About B.S. Anangpuria Institute of Law
B.S. Anangpuria Institute of Law (BSAIL) located in Faridabad, Haryana was established in 2007. The Bhawani Shanker Anangpuria Charitable Trust set up the institute with the aim of creating avenues for legal education in Delhi NCR. The institute is affiliated with Maharishi Dayanand University and is approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. It also has recognition from the Department of Higher Education, Government of Haryana.
The institute offers both bachelor's and master's programs in Law. The B.A.LL.B (Hons) is of five years duration, whereas the LL.M course is of two years.
Facilities As in the other colleges administered by the trust, BSAIL has an excellent infrastructure. It has modern classrooms and a well-stocked library-cum-information centre with plentiful books and resources on legal matters. With round-the-clock internet connectivity, the students can avail the services of the information centre even at odd hours. There is a seminar hall with good seating facilities. The central attraction is, however, the moot court, where mock court proceedings are held for the student's practice. The moot court is one of its kind in the entire NCR.
To aid the overall development of the students, there are regular court visits, moot court exercises, guest lectures by eminent legal professionals, internship opportunities and the establishment of legal-aid clinics. For enhancing the soft skills and honing of legal skills of the students, the institute has conceived a Student Transformation & Employment Enhancement Programme (STEP). The moot court is an essential part of the training process as it gives the students a live opportunity to present themselves in front of a panel of judges, thus providing them with valuable practical experience. The students also take part in activities like legal quizzes, debates and drafting of legal documents.
Apart from the quizzes and the moot court proceedings, there are ample opportunities for the students to participate in various extracurricular activities, sports, etc.
The institute has a fleet of buses for the transportation of the day boarders. The routes covered are locations in Delhi, Gurgaon, Sohna, Hodal, Palwal, Ballabgarh, and Faridabad.
