About Vrundavan Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry
Vrundavan Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry at Jasdan is managed under the Shri Vrundavan Gaushala Jeevdaya Trust and the college is situated on the trust's own land of about 150 acres. The campus is situated in a very peaceful and non-polluted environment surrounded by natural environment like mountains and river banks. The built-up area of the college building is about 20,000 sq. ft. which contains all mandatory facilities required by the affiliated Kamdhenu University norms.
FacilitiesAs the Trust has its own Gaushala with 1000 cows and other animals, students of Vrundavan Polytechnic can learn and do practical works of animals with the proper guidance of qualified and skilled supervisors including ladies' staff.
The college is facilitated with all basic amenities like girls' and boys' hostels, a Dining hall, prayer /meeting hall, library, computer room, laboratory, staff room, etc. Moreover, the hostel inmates and staff are lucky to have pure fresh milk and ghee from their own goshala cows and also the menu prepared by using organic vegetable farming in the farmhouse. Apart from this, there are other facilities like a Biogas plant, Bio-fertilizer plant for the production of organic fertilizer, Gir cow breeding, and Land development for the cultivation of green grass.
The campus has facilities for indoor and outdoor games like table tennis, carrom, chess, puzzles, volleyball, kabaddi, football, badminton, cricket, etc.
Eligibility for Diploma in Animal HusbandryThe candidate should have passed 10th from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) from Gujarat state or other equivalent examination along with English as a compulsory subject. i.e the student domicile should be Gujarat State. The minimum percentage of marks required category-wise is as under.
General category: 45%
SEBC/SC category: 40%
ST category: 35%
Age limit: 14 to 25 years (as of 01st July of the year)
