No.1 Government Engineering college in Kerala 4 out of 5

College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram [CET] is one of the best Engineering college in Kerala which provide better technical and management education in every possible ways.This institution is one of the oldest Government Engineering college in Kerala before Indian independence.The college was established in July 3rd of 1939 .The college has already about 20 courses in both Technical and management fields.The college is affiliated to university of Kerala. CET is now in top 50 Engineering colleges in India conducted by various magazines and experts.The college college infrastructure and lab facilities are very good compare to other government colleges.The College has around 3500 students, 280 teaching staff and 270 non-teaching staff. B.Tech., B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Plan and MBA and evening courses are offered by the College. Addition to this the college placement cell is very active and every year 80% students are placed in various Multi national companies.In previous year also Wipro,Infosys,DLF,TCS etc are visited the college for campus recruitment. Overall i will give 9/10 to this college in comparison to other government Engineering colleges Kerala.

The informations given in the 'About College of Engineering' section is wrong. It is about some other college named College of Engineering, Attingal. But website, email address and pictures given are that of College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram. About College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram [CET] is one of the most prestigious institution in India. It was established in July 3rd of 1939 as the first engineering college in Kerala [formerly Travancore state ]. The institution owes its foundation to the bold and inspired vision of Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the then Maharaja of Tranvancore. Initially the College was functioning in the former office and bungalow of the Chief Engineer (present PMG Office). Maj T.H. Mathewman, a Britisher was the first Principal. Only Degree and Diploma courses in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical branches were offered in the beginning. The College was shifted to the present 125 acres eco-friendly campus located in Kulathoor, Chavadimukku, Sreekariyam in 1960. It is now one of the top 50 engineering colleges in India and the most preferred institution by the meritorious students.
