About Seethalakshmi Achi College for Women
The college was founded in 1962 by eminent philanthropist of Chettinad Shri O.A.PR.M.Arunachalam Chettiar in honor of his wife Shrimathi Seethalakshmi Achi with the aim of educating women students in rural areas. The college is accredited with B Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council ( NAAC) and is affiliated with Alagappa University, Karaikudi. Admissions to this college are based on marks from eligible Higher Secondary school examinations. The college offers about 10 UG courses and about 7 PG courses. The college has a Library that has numerous collections of books, journals, and magazines and a National Digital Library that has about a million ebooks.
