Alpha Arts & Science College popularly known as Alpha College is one of the leading and premier self-financing arts and science colleges in Chennai.
The college was started in the year 1996 with affiliation to University of Madras. The college is a part of the Alpha Group of Institutions, a group who has more than 4 decades of rich experience in the education industry
Alpha Arts and Science College was founded in the year 1996 by a nonprofit private educational body known as Alpha Educational Society. It mainly imparts UG education in Computer, IT, Commerce, and Business Administrations areas and PG courses in Commerce and Biotechnology. It is having a wide range of certificate courses in Computer Software, Business English, Photography, GST, Company Secretary, etc. The institution is approved by the Tamil Nadu Govt and is affiliated with the University of Madras. The institution conforms to ISO 9001:2015 standards and it has got NACC accreditation also. The college is having the necessary infrastructure for the practical training of the students in various subjects offered by it.
AdmissionsCandidates interested in doing UG / PG / Certificate courses from this institution should get the admission application form and prospectus from the office of the institute at - Administrative Office, No 16, 3rd Cross Street, West C.I.T. Nagar, Chennai - 600 035. It can also be collected from the office in the college itself that is at - Alpha Arts and Science College, Thundalam, Porur, Chennai - 600 116. The filled-in application form is to be submitted along with the photographs and copies of the following documents -
- Three passport-sized and two stamp sized photographs.
- Higher Secondary Mark Sheet for UG courses.
- Degree certificate and Mark Sheet for PG courses.
- Transfer certificate (TC) and character certificate from the last institution.
- Caste certificate in case of candidates from ST / SC / MBC / BC communities.
- Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the University of Madras (for students from other Boards/Universities within India or outside India).
The selected students will have to deposit the original documents with the college till completion of the course.
For foreign students, no objection certificate from HRD, Government of India, eligibility certificate from the University of Madras, valid student Visa and Passport, residential permission to stay in India, etc would be required.
