About Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College
Founded in 1968 to comemorate the 500th birthday of great humanist and saint Guru Nanak Dev ji, Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamuna Nagar has endeavoured to live up to his ideals of humanism and secularism by empowering the weaker and disadvantaged sections of society through meaningful career-oriented education. Today the college has on its rolls about 5000 students, from every nook and corner of India and abroad. They can choose to study from 10 postgraduate and 28 undergraduate courses. Owing to its spectacular achievements in academics, sports and community welfare activities, the college was declared the best Non-government college affiliated to Kurukshetra University during the year 2004-05. The college also has the unique distinction of being the only postgraduate college in Haryana to have been honored with A+ grade by NAAC. Recently, the UGC has awarded the college with Potential for Excellence status to the college for its outstanding achievements
