Motto :
Sri Vasavi College motto consists of three Tamil words: Arivu, Anbu, Aram – meaning Wisdom, Love and Charity.
The shield is divided into four sections. In the top left corner is the Goddesses Sri Kanniga Parameswari, with whose unflinching blessings and love we progress; in the top right corner is an open book symbolizing wisdom; in the middle portion is a balance and a cow representing equity, justice, and charity; and in the lower part is a thousand-petal lotus in a pond traditionally known for ever-unfolding wisdom. The motto is inscribed in the lower part. The name of the College in Tamil is on top of the shield.

We at Sri Vasavi College aim to offer quality education at undergraduate, postgraduate and research levels in Arts, Science, Humanities, and Languages with a sense of social commitment in compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
We endeavor consistently for academic excellence on par with international standards through purposeful teaching-learning process, and research activities, and to mold each student into a responsible citizen. We shall achieve this by providing a congenial academic environment with resourceful team of faculty and staff, and a well-maintained infrastructure to meet the set objectives.
