About Government Girls College
The college is located in a campus area of 31.6 acres, housing 19 teaching departments in Science, Arts and Commerce faculties, Central Library, Sports Ground. Computer Centre, Health Centre, Girls'' Hostels and a Canteen. The limited infrastructure facilities are optimally utilized for the maximum benefit of the students. The government is the supreme executive body vested with all administrative and academic powers. The college has faculty strength of 84 permanent Lecturers and one on ad-hoc basis. Besides the College has 62 non-teaching staff out of which 26 are administrative staff. The college has a total strength of 3057 students, all of whom are girls.
