Review of KCG College of Technology, Chennai. 
Introduction
KCG College of Technology is a part of Hindustan Group of institutions. The college was founded in the year 1998 by the late founder Dr. K. C. G. Varghese. It was formerly known as National Institute of Technology and Science. KCG College is a Christian minority institution. It was approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and it is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college is certified as an ISO 9001:2000 institution.
Location
The college campus is spread across the Rajiv Gandhi Salai (formerly Old Mahabalipuram Road), nearly 10 kms away from Adyar, Chennai. The college is situated in a place called Karapakkam. The college is well connected to the city by means of transport. The administrative office is situated in 40, GST Road, St. Thomas Mount, Chennai.
Courses offered
The college offers various under graduate and post graduate programmes for its students. The UG courses include Aeronautical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Mechanical. The PG courses includes Communication systems, VLSI Design, Engineering Design, MBA, MCA, etc.,
Facilities for students
The college library is one of the pointed areas in the campus. There are more than 31000 volumes of books are present in the library. All the works inside the library are automated through software. Students can also access various E-books, online journals from here.
The lab facilities provided in the college are very good for all the departments. The college has also participated in various sports activities where it has won many medals and championships.
Other facilities include Gym, Canteen, Hostel, etc., are available for the students. Students who are coming from the city have the transport facilities from university to reach their home safely.
Placement facilities
The placement cell of the college has been very active in the last 3 years by ensuring the placement of its students. In the 2010-2011 batch, more than 400 students got placed in various company’s like Infosys, iGATE, HCL, Wipro, L&T InfoTech, CSS Corp, Honeywell, etc., Placement training is conducted for students who are attending campus interviews.
