A. B. M. College, Jamshedpur is located in Golmuri town in East Singhbhum district in the state of Jharkhand and was established in the year 1971 under the university affiliation with Kolhan University, Jharkhand. It is approved by UGC, has NACC accreditation, and offers UG/PG courses in Arts and Commerce and a few vocational courses. It also provides a wide range of extracurricular activities for the overall progress of the students.
AdmissionsStudents aspiring to take admission in UG courses should have at least 45% marks in their intermediate or 10+2 examination. For admissions in UG honours one has to have 50% marks in one's 10+2 class as well as at least 45% marks in the subject in which honours is being planned by the student.
Seats are reserved for different categories like 26% for ST, 10% for ST, and 14% for OBC. Another type of reservation weightage is like 10% for staff wards, 5% for girls students, 5% for NCC ‘C' certificate, 3% for NCC ‘B' certificate, 5% Scout & Guide (Rashtrapati Award), 2% Scout & Guide (Institute of Scout & Guide, Jharkhand), 3% for sports, 2% for Windows/ armed forced personnel, 3% for differently-abled persons, 1% for vision impairment, 1% for Hearing Impairment, and 1% for Locomotor Disability.
Students desirous of taking admission in this college in the respective UG/PG courses have to register online on the college website. There is a ‘REG. FORMS' button on the top right side of the college website and one has to click here to go to the registration form. The student has to fill in all the relevant data like the last exam qualified, board/university, class/division obtained, DOB, Parent names, caste/category, mobile number, email address, etc, and deposit the application fee online and collect the online receipt and acknowledgment. The student will be informed by the college of all the subsequent details regarding admission on the contact information he had provided in the online form. The candidate would be required to present the original documents like mark sheets, Aadhar card, residential proof, TC/Character certificate, etc at the time of finalization of the admissions. - Umesh
