About Assam Engineering College

Assam Engineering College was established in 1955, the first undergraduate engineering college in the northeastern India. It started with Civil Engineering discipline, and within a few years other departments came into existence. With a well spread out lush green campus, AEC has been the hub centre of many intellectual and extra-curricular activities in Assam for almost half a century. It is the premier technical institute of the entire North East India.

Assam Engineering College is the best engineering college of the state. It is situated in Jalukbari,Guwahati, under the Gauhati University. The college campus covers a big plot of land and with a scenic beauty. The College Surrounded on two sides by the historical Deepor Beel. There are various departments in the college... 1. Chemical Engg. 2. Civil Engg. 3. Computer Sc. & Engg. 4. Electrical Engg. 5. Electronics & Tele. Engg. 6. Industrial & Prod. Engg. 7. Instrumentation Engg. 8. Mechanical Engg. 9. M.C.A The Laboratory facility in the college is very good. The students can depend on it fully. There are different building for the different laboratories. Placement facilities is also available in the college. Over 834 employers are currently hiring freshers directly from colleges in India. The teaching method is also very good in the college. The professors and the faculty members are also well experienced. Through AIEEE exam one can admitted in the college.
