RMK ENGINEERING COLLEGE 3 out of 5

RMK ENGINEERING COLLEGE was established in the year 1995. Its situated in Gummidipoondi, Tamilnadu. Its a Telugu minority institution. They are offering seven under graduation courses and seven post graduation courses. The college is located in 30km from Chennai. It belongs to the Lakhsmikanthammal Educational trust. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University Chennai. It has been re- certified with ISO 9001: 2000 by DNV, Netherlands. The college has been awarded by the Rotary club of Chennapatna as clean and green campus. The academic standard of this institution is very good. It has lots of university rank holders and its number is also increasing year by year. Its also one among the top self financing engineering colleges in Tamilnadu. The students of this institution is well placed in the top industries. The department of trainning and placement sends most of the students for in plant trainnings to enhance their knowledge technically. Industrial visits are been conducted to enrich the knowledge of the students and also to develop their soft skills. National level technical symposium are conducted by all the departments to bring out the talents of the students.

There are more than 500 students doing their Engineering courses in this institution. This college is Ranked 4th according to the latest rankings of College made by Anna University. the college is ranked 4th only after RMD Engineering college which is ranked first followed by RMK Technology ranked second and some other college on the third position. Rmk chairmen is managing all this three colleges RMD, RMK Technology and RMK Engineering college. all the colleges managed bu him is in the top 5 list of Engineering colleges as per the list made my Anna University based on pass percentage, campus placements and infrastructural facilities.
