About Sahrdaya College of Engineering & Technology
The Sahrdaya College of Engineering nad Technology at Kodakara is established on a land of 40 acres and is affiliated to the Government of Kerala, University of Calicut and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The college was granted the permission to run Bachelor in Technology (B. Tech.) courses in the subjects of Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology.
To take admission in the Sahrdaya College, one has to be admitted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination. With rubust constructions and master plans, the college building with Hostel and Workshop were constructed within seven months in 2002.
All the class rooms are equipped with Networked computers with LCD projector for Multimedia presentations, good quality teak wood furniture and green glass magnetic chalk boards.
The college also has a Drawing hall which contains modern adjustable drawing boards and a advanced computer laboratory in which the processors are updated with new technology and requirement.
The college also has a Language laboratory to train students in various languages like English, Hindi, French, Arabic, German and Japanese. The laboratory is also equipped with Audio support from Linguaphone Institute Limited of London.
The college also has a vast reference library. 150 students can be present in the library at a time and make use of the library which will help to issue books like text books and reference books with the help of qualified librarians and support staff. The library also has digital access ensuring knowledge of latest advances also.
The teaching staff vary from Post Graduates and Doctorates in their education and are trained for perfect teaching and conversant in using power point presentation for imparting knowledge.
The college also has good internet facilities. Buses are used to impart transportation for the staff and the students.
As of current, the college has 6 undergraduate courses with an intake of 480 students.
