About Vivek Education Society''s Arts & Commerce College

The Vivek Education Society (VES) was established in the year 1962 as a Linguistic Minority Institution (Tamil / Malayalam Minority). The management members consisted of people from state of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. VES was committed to cater to the children of these linguistic minority communities. VES commenced its educational activities by establishing a primary school for these students.

The Vivek College of Commerce was started in the year 1986 under the wing of the Vivek Education Society, a Charitable Institution set up in the year 1961.

Vivek College of Commerce has been granted Linguistic Minority (Tamil/Malayalam) Status.
It provides the following courses:

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)

Master of Commerce (M.Com.) Specialization in Accountancy & Management and M.Com.(E-Commerce).

Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)

Bachelor of Science (Informaion Technology (B.Sc.IT).

Bachelor of Commerce (Banking & Insurance)

Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance)

Bachelor of Science ( Computer Science)

Masters Degree in Information Technology i.e. M.Sc.IT and

Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Markets).

In addition to the above courses, the college has been functioning as a centre for Personal Contact Programme for the students of the Institute of Distance Education of University of Mumbai.

The college is a Centre for the Course Completion Test of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Permanently affiliated to University of Mumbai.
Recognized by UGC under Section 12(b) and 2(f) of the U.G.C. Act and Accredited by NAAC.
