About Saraswati College Of Enginering
IntroductionThis engineering college is situated in Sector-5 in the town of Kharghar in Navi Mumbai area. Kharghar town is an educational hub in the Navi Mumbai region as there are many schools, colleges and institutions here catering to a large number of students. Some of the institutions are ACPCE Management Studies And Research, Annasaheb Chudaman Patil College Of Engineering, Institute For Technology And Hotel Management, Satyagrah College Of Arts, Science And Commerce, Yeral Dental College And Hospital, National Institute of Fashion Technology etc. In addition to the local students, many students from far away place to come here for education. Some institutions are having their own hostels but many students are residing in private accommodation by sharing with other students. There are many houses especially in Sector-4 in Kharghar which are offering rooms to the students.
Courses offered and InfrastructureThe college provides engineering courses in the areas of Civil, Mechanical, Automobile, IT, Telecommunication, and Computer Science engineering. The college has good infrastructure including a central library. They have a good database of old question papers also.
EligibilityThe candidate should have passed class XII in Science stream with at least 50% marks. Out of all the engineering seats, 65% of seats are given for the MH-CET test route while 15% of seats are through the JEE route and the remaining 20% is through institution quota.
PlacementThe institution also claims an aggressive placement policy and some of the companies which were contacted by it through placement sessions during 2019-20 were Mindcraft Pvt Ltd, Capgemini, Qspider Pvt Ltd, Eleation Pvt Ltd, Bridgelabz, Vistaar, Clover Infotech, Xcellance Technologies Pvt Ltd, Zycus, Netcore, Bitwise, Tech Mahindra, Paramatrix, IBM, Sakethexim Ltd, Naaptol, Godrej and Boyce, Nucsoft, Reliance, INFOSYS, and TCS.
