About Shri Krishna Medical College Muzaffarpur
Sri Krishna Medical College was started in the year 1970 by the due efforts of the society “Vaishali Shiksha Pratisthan" that was also established the same year. The college was started with the aim to provide higher education in Bihar. During its initial days, the classes were getting conducted in the S.K.J. Law College, Ganipur and the hospital was started in a rented house with 4 beds only. In 1973, the main building was constructed at Umanagar, Muzaffarpur Sitamarhi road, and the college was then shifted there.
After the inspections, the college was recognized by MCI and in 1979, the Bihar government took it over. Initially, the college was functioning under Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University and then it got affiliation to Aryabhatta Knowledge University in the year 2010.
FacilitiesThe college has a well-stocked library with a great collection of books related o the medical sciences. For accommodation, there are separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are clean and have all the basic facilities required for a comfortable stay. The whole campus is having Wi-Fi connectivity to facilitate online learning.
At 15 acres, the playground is big enough for outdoor games like Football, Cricket, etc. A separate indoor facility is also available for games like table tennis and badminton.
For transportation, the college has its own buses to pick and drop the students on daily basis. Apart from this, there is a guest house, staff quarters, post office, bank and 2 advanced lecture theatres in the main college building. - Padmini
