About Vimal Jyothi Engineering College
Vimal Jyothi Engineering College, Chemperi is situated along the hill valley of Malabar. Spread over 30 acres of land, VJEC is one of the largest self financing engineering colleges in Kerala. It is managed by the educational trust of Archdiocese of Thalassery.
The courses offered courses recognized by AICTE. The college imparts coaching for 6 undergraduate programmes & 4 post graduate programmes.
Admission
The seat distribution for B.Tech is as follows:
50% seats are allocated for students from Common Entrance Examination rank list.
50% seats are given under management quota. Out of this, 35% seats are filled on the basis of merit and the rest 15% is reserved for eligible NRI candidates. Since Vimal Jyothi Engineering College is a college under self financing scheme, the fee will be higher compared to the government engineering colleges.
Facilities
It has a central library and 5 department libraries. The labs are equipped with sophisticated machineries. Many associations are functioning in this college for each department which provide a platform for students to realise and improve their skills. These associations conduct regular programmes like Seminars, Workshops, Quiz etc. The other facilities of the college include:

The campus is located in Chemperi, Kannur district. It is 45 Kms away from Kannur town.
