Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute is one of the best agriculture research institutes in India and is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. It was started in the year 1972 in Coimbatore and after 20 years, in 1992, it was shifted to Kumulur. The campus occupies around 280 acres of land and is about 25 kilometers away from the main city.

The computer center is well-equipped with computers and internet connectivity. It can be used by students as well as staff for both academic and research purposes. Apart from this, the entire campus and hostels have Wi-Fi facility and the students are allowed to use it on their personal laptops. The center also supports video-conferencing and online tests required during job placements.
The library started in 2001 and located on the ground floor, is having a great collection of academic books, audiovisual CDs and books for competitive exams. The books are indexed with bar codes for easy maintenance and automation.

One of the best Medical colleges is K.A.P Viswanatham Medical college which was founded in 1997 and this medical college is run by Tamil Nadu State government and accredited by the Medical Council of India. Usually, they admit 150 students for their MBBS course and 94 students for their Post Graduate courses. This medical college is affiliated to Dr. MGR Medical University and MGR was one of the prominent personalities in Tamil Nadu and was also a Chief Minister of the state. Indian Institute of Management, Trichy is one of the best Business schools in the state. It is one of the Public Graduate Business school. Each year more students get admitted to this Business school who cracks the CAT test.
