L.L.B. is an undergraduate course offered at the A.K.K New Law Academy, leading to a Bachelor of Legislative Law degree. It is a three-year full time course over six semesters. In the first semester of L.L.B. studies at the A.K.K New Law Academy, Pune, other than the compulsory papers of legal and constitutional history, family law, and law of contracts, students can select one of five optional subjects. Similarly, in the second, third, and fourth semesters, one optional subject can be taken up. In the final two semesters, there is a more advanced curriculum that covers the code of criminal and civil procedure, land and company laws, administrative laws, etc. In the last semester (Semester VI) at A.K.K New Law Academy, students get to practice law in mock Court sessions and get practical training in how to prepare for a Court trial, draft legal documents, etc. A Viva-Voce (Oral exam) is also mandatory at the end of the academic session.

Eligibility Criteria for LLB General Admissions

Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 45% marks in aggregate in the graduate/postgraduate exam. SC and ST students will be allowed a relaxation of 5%. Additionally, students must appear for the common law entrance exam, known as MAH-CET, that is conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education, Govt. of Maharashtra.

International students can also apply for the L.L.B. course at A.K.K New Law Academy, Pune. They are required to obtain a 'Confirm Letter of Admission' from the University of Pune. As a routine procedure, once they get admission, the details of their Passport, Visa and place of residence will be submitted for verification to the Foreign Cell, Office of the Commissionarate of Police, Pune.
