These days, B.Sc Computer Science is a very popular program with most college students. A 3-year program, this B.Sc course prepares you with problem-solving and programming skills. The first year of the program provides you with basic foundation in computing, software development, database management and you get to learn the various terminologies used in respect with programming. As you progress to the second year of the program, you get to hone your problem-solving skills further by taking up lessons in data structures and algorithms. The lessons in software engineering help you gain skills in project designing. In the same year, you will be also picking up concepts of computer networking. In the third year, it will be mostly hands-on-practical for you, where you will be gaining programming skills in programming languages like C-programming, Java and Python at the various labs in the college. You will be also working up on projects like mobile application development and so on. Among the labs available at the college is a programming lab, a mathematics lab and an electronics lab.

For admission to B.Sc Computer Science, you should have scored at least 40% marks in 10+2 in the science stream with mathematics as one of the main subjects. Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering too may apply.
