The 2 year course is divided in 4 semesters and covers Classical Sociological Thinkers, Methods in Social Research, Rural Sociology, Urban Sociology, Indian Sociological Thinkers, Techniques of Social Research and Statistics, Rural Change and Rural Reconstruction, Urban Problems and Planning, Theoretical Perspective In Sociology, Sociology of Development, Tribal Society in India, Criminology, Modern Sociological Perspective, Sociology of Development in Indian Context, Gender and Society, Social Demography (or Empirical Research Report / Project Work Paper), and Viva Voce Examination.
Eligibility Criteria for M.A. Sociology Admissions
The candidate should have a B.A. degree with at least 40% marks and Sociology as one of the subjects.
