Course Details
The B.Sc. Nursing course at CG College of Nursing, Bilaspur, which is of four years' duration across eight semesters, offers the basics of general nursing. You will learn the fundamentals of nursing, first-aid techniques, child health nursing, etc. Some of the subjects included in the curriculum of this undergraduate course are anatomy, physiology, nutrition and dietetics, pharmacology, pathology, etc. English is also part of the curriculum and aspects of applied psychology and applied sociology are covered in the syllabus as well.
A certain number of electives have to be completed from the third semester onward. An internship, that is, a residency posting, is mandatory in the final semester (semester 8).
Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc. Nursing Admissions
The student should have passed 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are mandatory) and English with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. The final selection is done on the basis of the State or university level entrance exam, with the minimum aggregate score of 50% required in the qualifying exam.
