Course Details

To complete Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from Aerospace Research and Development Centre, the student has to complete about 2000 academic hours including theory and practical sections. During that period the student should at least score a pass mark for his /her semester exams. The semester exams are conducted inside the campus under the supervision of the DGCA Approved Exam Manager.

Aerospace Research and Development Centre, offering B1.2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. Which is a Mechanical branch of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. The branch of study deals with the engine and structure of aircraft. A total of 11 Modules are there for Mechanical AME. The students have to clear all the 11 papers and the examination will be under the supervision of DGCA. The training programs during the academics are conducted under CAR 147 (Basic) as mandated by DGCA.

During the training period, the student has to take training in a live aircraft. As we have legal tie-ups with the major MROs like Air India, TAAL, ARDC (CAR-145), and many more our students will get a chance to work with these organizations. After completing the academic period, the students will get a Certificate of Recognition (COR). As per the requirements of the DGCA, the student has to acquire an additional experience in maintenance from MROs or live aircraft.

A minimum of 4 - 5 years will take a student to become a certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer depending on which kind of Aircraft the student chooses for specialization and also depending on the guidelines by DGCA.
