Eligibility:
You can be admitted to this Program after completing 10+2 Science , and or have taken an all India JEE Exam. JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. The admissions are based on merit. Some Institutes conduct their own entrance exams and admissions are given on merit of 10+2 Science and entrance exam.

Course overview:
The Industrial and Production Engineering field is a focused branch of Mechanical Engineering catering to the design, development, enhancement, implementation and assessment of integrated systems made up of equipment, material, process, people and knowledge. The objective of this undergraduate program is to prepare skilled professionals for taking leading positions in industry, manage, improve the efficiency and effectiveness of various processes in the manufacturing and production sectors.
Course Details:
The Bachelor's course comprises of eight semesters. As a part of the curriculum the students will undergo basic foundational subjects like physics, maths, applied chemistry, applied mechanics, engineering drawing etc. The second and the third year covers the basic subjects of mechanical, manufacturing , industrial and production engineering. Almost all subjects will have theory along with practicals. Based on the knowledge of the core subjects the students can opt for elective/ specialization in the final year along with project. Some colleges offer project +internship in the final semester. The course is designed to provide the basic concepts, hands on practice and a project which prepares the student to face the real world.
