Course introduction
The course gives all the knowledge about electronics machinery, its application, construction and maintenance. Candidates learn about complete industrial set up in terms of electrical assemble. The course is a combination of Mathematics, electronics and instrumentation and candidates get analytical skills to learn about their applications in practical life.
The course also includes practical sessions to have hands on training about various electronic instruments, their structure, functioning, applications and maintenance.
Admission Procedure
The admission in most of the private institutes is on first come basis for 10th passed students who have secure 50% for higher marks. Some institutes also conduct an entrance tests for entrance to get the well deserving candidates in their batch.
Duration
The duration for this course is 3 years. These 3 years are divided into 6 different semesters of equal duration of 6 months. Being a technical course, it is not available for distance learning.
Eligibility
This course is open for all 10th passed students from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks.
Further study options
After successful completion of this course, candidates can pursue regular Bachelor degree that is B.Sc. in electronics, Instrumentation, etc. B.Tech or B.E in Electronics is again an option because diploma holders may get direct admission in 2nd year of engineering course in some selected institutes. After Graduation degree, post graduation like M.Sc., M.Tech, M.E, etc can be done. Lastly, research based courses are also available.

The course includes both theoretical as well as practical part to study. They learn basics of technical English as initial part of this course. They also learn Mathematics, engineering physics, engineering chemistry and engineering Graphics as basics of their course. Fundamental of computing as theory and practical sessions included to have better understanding of computer bases topics.
The later part of this course includes basics of Electronics, Computer aided drafting, Electrical circuits, Modeling Laboratories, etc.
