They are also responsible for the technological development in fields as diverse as power generation, lighting, communication, broadcasting, robotics, computers, aviation electronics and many more. The ones with a master degree are more into designing, developing and testing of newer technologies in the field. Electrical and electronics engineers are also very much into computing, software development and the information technology sector.
Eligibility and course duration
You should have done your graduation preferably in the field of electrical or electronics or any other related branch of engineering. Colleges may insist upon a minimum of 50-55% marks in your bachelors and they often conduct exams for admission to their programs. Some may however insist upon GATE marks.
Duration of this postgraduate program is 2 years (four semesters).
