Anatomy and PhysiologyThe subject will include anatomical study of Eye and its visual pathways, Embryology of Eye, it's motor mechanism, development of Binocular vision, neurology of vision, Tear circulation, details of optic and other related topics.
Pathology and MicrobiologyIt includes study of microbiological infecting organisms for eye including Bacteria, Virus and parasites. It focuses of fungal infection in ocular causing inflammatory reactions, study of neoplastic and lens specification etc.
BiochemistryThis subjects deals with the biochemistry of eye functions including Vitamin A and its metabolism, Glucose metabolism, Thyroid functions etc.
PharmacologyHere the students get an idea about drug useful for eye problems like Anatomic drugs, Anti-inflammatory agents, Anti viral and anti fungal agents and anti mitotic agents. The study of drugs to reduce intra-ocular pressure, local anesthetic and tear substitutes are also included.
All these subjects have both theoretical as well as practical lectures to teach the students about practical aspects.
