You will have to appear in an entrance examination meant for selection of candidates in M.E. or M.Tech course. The candidates are selected in this course based on the descending order of the score they have obtained in the entrance examination.
2. After passing this diploma, you can also pursue a postgraduate diploma in Mechanical Draftsman. You will learn how to make accurate diagrams of the constructions not only manually but also using digital software. The eligibility criteria for this course is same as that of the postgraduate diploma in Quantity Surveying and Valuation.

Future Job Scenario

• Initially, you can become billing engineers on construction projects. Your job will be to correctly evaluate the land area and prepare proper billings for materials and the plot.
• After 3-4 years of hard work you can opt for junior quantity surveyor positions. Slowly, with experience you will be promoted to senior quantity surveyor positions.There is high demand of such senior surveyors in countries of the Middle East.
• If you complete an M.Tech in civil engineering, then you can opt for site engineer jobs. Most such jobs are transferable due to its high dependency on field work. So those candidates who are open to such transfers should opt for such jobs.
• After 10 years of experience as a site engineer or quantity surveyor, you will be promoted to managerial positions. You can become project managers or surveyor managers.
