Overview
Pharmacology is all about studying the action of drugs on living organisms and tissues. It is a branch of biology or medicine that studies the interactions between the living organisms and the chemicals that bring the changes in biochemical function. This postgraduate degree course helps get you a strong understanding of different medications, their chemical properties, usefulness, sources and their biological effects. The course also provides you with a solid foundation before undergoing a Ph.D course and thus get into a research based career. Eligibility and course duration
You should be a science graduate having specialized in any one of the subjects in biological sciences. Or you should be a medical/ dental/ BHMS or BPharm graduate. Admissions are mainly through entrance tests and based on merit.

Through research work you will be investigating the various issues concerning the interaction of living organisms with chemical substances.
