Overview

One of the greatest challenges facing mankind today is feeding the ever increasing population. This Ph.D program aims to produce researchers who will be able to take on the challenges of developing techniques and processes, which will help in increasing the production of fishery products through means of aquaculture. That they will achieve this in a sustainable way taking care of every aspect including environment. The training provided by this course is an innovative one and is multidisciplinary. It is multidisciplinary in the sense that, it borrows it's principles and theories from disciplines like biology, microbiology, genetics of fish, biodiversity, animal sciences, resource conservation and even ocean politics.
