Course Detail
M.D is abbreviation of a course 'Doctor of medicine' which is equivalent to a post graduate degree in medical line. The candidates acquire in depth knowledge and specialty training related to their specialization which is Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy in this particular course. Candidates learn different subjects related to pathological reactions of the skin, Basic Dermatopathology, Biology & Development of skin genetics, structure and development of skin, etc. Immunology of dermatological disease, repair & carcinogenesis, Cellular and molecular biology of inflammation, etc are also included in the course.
Eligibility
Candidates holding MBBS degree in their graduation with same or related specialization are eligible for this course. There is not age restriction for this course and interested candidates can pursue at any stage of their professional life as per their need.
Admission Procedure
The admission can be taken directly on merit basis after successful completion of MBBS degree and it related training. Some institutes may conduct entrance test for the admission and for such institutes candidates need to clear the entrance examination with good scores.
Duration
The duration for this course is 3 regular years if it pursued after MBBS. For candidates who have done a Post Graduate Diploma from any recognized institute after their MBBS with same specialization, the duration is 2 years.
