Medical electronics is a field of engineering that integrates medical science with engineering practices to improve upon the diagnostic techniques and for delivery of efficient healthcare services. In this field, engineering knowledge, especially electronics is utilized for treatment of diseases and ailments by using modern medical equipment. These are all sophisticated electronic equipment that have revolutionized the field of healthcare and have been very much instrumental in providing cure for most ailments. A medical electronics engineer designs and produces such electronic equipment and are also responsible for their maintenance and servicing. Imaging devices, MRI, patient monitors and defibrillators are some such equipment that are part of medical electronics and have been very much responsible for treating many of the ailments.

Pass in 10+2 with physics, chemistry and math. For selection you need to qualify entrance exams. Duration of the course is 4 years.
