Overview


Almost everyone is aware these days about the field of aviation. A field concerned with flying aeroplanes, aviation deals with the design, development, production, operation and maintenance of heavier-than-air aircrafts. It is categorised into 3 classes. Military, general and commercial aviation. The general and commercial aviation are only applicable for the civilian population. Those who wish to work in these two categories can obtain a degree by undergoing a course in B.Sc Aviation. For a military pilot, one has to undergo training provided by the air wings of the armed forces. Both general and commercial aviation provide ample opportunities for employment and growth.

Eligibility and course duration

  1. For freshers, pass in 10+2 with Physics, Math and preferably English. Minimum 50% in 10+2. Class II medical certificate from a DGCA approved doctor.
  2. For CPL (commercial pilot license) holders, class I medical certificate from DGCA medical centres.

Duration of this course is 3 years.

B.Sc. aviation is a well-rounded course that provides excellent opportunities for those interested in making flying as a career in civil aviation. After the course is over, the students are awarded with a B.Sc degree along with a flying license. Along with flying, the students will be given theoretical training in Air Regulations, Navigation, Meteorology, Avionics and Aircraft & Engines.
