Programme Objective and its career prospects

The CJD course is having strong objective to prepare 12th pass or graduate candidates with Bachelors Preparatory Programme (BPP) from IGNOU for Jewellery designing. The focus on their creative ability to make/launch unique designs for jewellery. This certificate course makes candidates eligible to work in any Jewellery Industries with good compensations. Some of these industries are- P.P. Jewellers, Asian Star Company (India) Ltd, Gitanjali Gems Ltd, Rajesh Exports Ltd, Suashish Diamonds Ltd, Su-Raj Diamonds Ltd, Flawless Diamond (India) Ltd, Shrenuj & Company Ltd, Classic Diamonds (India) Ltd etc. Candidates may have opportunities to work out side India in this career line.

Course details

The whole course is divided into 4 Credit courses and that needs to be completed in 120 study hours. It means one credit course will ne 30 hours of learning.
The structure includes following credit course-

1. BFDI-061

   The title of this course is “Fundamental Theory of Jewelry Design and Context" and have 4 credits.



2. BFDI-062

   The title of this course is “Jewelry Sketching and Rendering" and have 4 credits.



3. BFDI-063

   The title of this course is “Jewelry Design and Practice" and have 4 credits.



4. BFDI-064

   The title of this course is “Jewelry Design Marketing" and have 4 credits.

The students need to have all the 16 credits for completion of the course within 6 months to 2 years.
All the credits courses have some defined units to learn separately.
