Eligibility criteria
Candidates who have qualified the 10+2 Science Examination and or JEE Examination are eligible to this course. candidates who have completed Diploma in Civil engineering are eligible to apply directly to the second year of Degree.

A candidate can be admitted to this course on merit of 10+2 Science, JEE or Institute level Written test or through Institute level Management quota.

The objective of this undergraduate four year civil engineering course is to prepare professionals who can plan design, develop, construct, handle, rehabilitate, and function the tangible elements of the human habitat. This graduate course is designed to prepare the student to become employable in the industry.
Course Details:
The Civil Engineering Bachelor's course comprises of eight semesters with the first year focusing on basic subjects like applied physics, applied maths, applied chemistry, applied mechanics, engineering drawing etc. The second and the third year subjects include structural engineering, environmental, water resources, construction, transportation, geotechnical engineering, management, urban planning etc. Majority of the subjects are taught using a mix of theory, tutorial and practical. Students opt for elective/ specialization in the final year along with project. Some colleges offer internship in the final semester.

The civil engineers are in demand in every walk of life and are closely involved in designing, constructing, supervising, operating and maintaining of roads, bridges, tunnels, dams, water supply, sewage systems and buildings. There are concerns in designing and construction with regards to cost, life span, government regulations, the environmental hazards like natural and other calamities. Graduates can opt for ME or M Tech in either of Civil / Environmental/Construction/ Urban Planning or even an MBA in Marketing or Operations.
